Driving Directions to the Tavern in the Square Salem

From North and West:

From Maine, New Hampshire, and other points North and West, take 1-93 South or I-95 South to Route 128 North. Proceed on Route 128 North, keeping to the LEFT when you see signs indicating I-95 and Rte 128 will be splitting. Take Exit 25A (Salem / Marblehead exit) and head eastbound on Rte 114. Please note that Rte 114 exit is 3 exits after the 128/I-95 split.
 
Note: When you exit off Route 128, take a left at 3rd traffic light and continue on Route 114 East to Tavern in the Square. Take Route 107 North (Bridge Street) toward Beverly. Exit right onto Washington Street. Tavern in the Square is on right .

From Beverly and North, follow Route 1A over Beverly/Salem Bridge. Continue straight on Bridge Street as it becomes Route 107 South. Just after Salem Train Station exit left onto Washington Street. Tavern in the Square is on right.

From Marblehead, Swampscott, Lynn. Follow Lafayette Street to Salem Fire Station. Turn left on New Derby Street. Turn left on Washington Street. Tavern in the Square on left, 189 Washington Street. Turn left in to the Klop Alley Lot for parking and lot parking behind the restaurant.

Or take Route 107 (Highland Avenue) into Salem where it becomes Bridge Street. Just before Salem Train Station, is rotary. Exit right onto Washington Street. Tavern in the Square is on right, 189 Washington Street.

From The South

Take I-95 North and follow Route 128 North. Note: I-95 will adjoin Route 128 North in Massachusetts. Proceed on 128 North to Exit 25A (Salem / Marblehead exit) and head eastbound on Route 114.

Take Route 93 North to the Mass Pike (I-90 East) via the Ted Williams tunnel (Exit 23) East to Route 1A North. Take Route 1A North to Salem. Follow directions below to Route 1A to Tavern in the Square.

Take the Mass Pike (I-90 East) via the Ted Williams tunnel to Route 1A North. Follow directions below to Route 1A to Tavern in the Square.

From Boston

From Boston, take Callahan Tunnel and follow signs to Route 1A North. Follow directions below to Route 1A to Tavern in the Square.

Route 1A to Tavern in the Square. Route 1A North is a winding road with many lights. Continue on Route 1A North for approximately 15 miles to Salem Fire Station. Turn left on New Derby Street. Turn right on Washington Street. Tavern in the Square is on left, 189 Washington Street.

PARKING LOTS: In addition to street parking, many parking areas are nearby Tavern in the Square, including Lynde Street lot behind store, the lot on Church Street, right off of Washington across from Salem, Cycle, and garage parking at Museum place.
